Rita Vinski-- Rainy Day In Ireland

Well, we finally landed in Ireland! Today we spent a very rainy, cold day in Galway. However, leaving the rain out of it, we were able to roam the town, do some shopping, and learn about the small little town.

After the two hour bus ride, the first place we went to was the Galway Cathedral. The inside of the church reminded me of how La Roche's chapel was set up (altar in the middle with the pews and seats surrounding it).

From there, we did a walking tour of Galway and had a hot lunch in a bistro called Maxwells. One of the big items to shop for among the females was the Claddagh ring, a silver ring with a heart embraced by two hands and a crown.

Overall, while the day was long and we've been awake for about a day straight, besides getting small naps here and there on the bus and plane, today was lovely. We have free time tonight to roam the area around the hotel and stretch our legs.
