Day 7- Hillary

Good evening from Scotland!

Today we traveled to the Edinburgh Castle to experience this wonderful historical monument. There are cannons and prison artifacts as well as actual medals and uniforms of Scottish soldiers that date back to the 1700s. I was really interested in the prison cells and the nationalities inscribed into old prison doors by POWs. Although rainy and cold, I really loved this visit. It was definitely one of my favorites!

Afterwards we walked to the writer's museum which featured lots of work from famous writer Robert Louis Stevenson. I read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so seeing first editions of his works and hearing stories of his life was very exciting as well.

Off to dinner where I enjoyed a fabulous raspberry sorbet with a spot of tea. After yet another great dinner, we attended the King's Speech play. Briefly, the play is based on a King who had a speech impediment and formed a friendship with his speech therapist who helped him learn to speak with confidence. It was a beautiful play. I really enjoyed each part of this day.
